Hotels & Suites Near Disneyland in Los Angeles

The Disneyland Resort in Southern California consists of two expansive theme parks. Since each park has at least five lands, it can take visitors at least two days to fully appreciate the experience. Several hotels, both inside and outside the resort, cater to this need by offering rooms to vacationers at several price levels.

  1. Disney's Grand Californian

    • Modeled after a Yosemite hotel from the early 1900s, this Craftsman-style property boasts dark wood beams, stained glass accents, an Inglenook fireplace with arts and crafts tiles and gigantic chandeliers. The surrounding landscape of firs, pines and deciduous trees puts you in a northern California mountain resort far from the Los Angeles desert. Three pools can keep you cool when you have to brave the heat.

This is the only hotel at the resort with direct access to a park, which in this case is California Adventure. The ambiance is high-end with the Napa Rose restaurant, named Most Popular Restaurant in 2008, and the Mandara Spa, which uses exotic therapies and specialized massages to pamper guests. Rooms range up to Grand Villas, which sleep up to 12 guests and include three bedroom, four bathrooms, a private porch or balcony and a refrigerator.

    Disneyland Hotel

    • The Disneyland Hotel was the original hotel at the theme park. It celebrates its roots with frequent visits to the lobby by Mickey Mouse and other Disney characters. The 5,000-square-foot Never Land Pool evokes Peter Pan with a pirate ship and 100-foot-long water slide, while a waterfall grotto offers a cooling break from the mid-day sun. This mid-priced property includes three-bedroom accommodations and themed rooms such as the Pirates of the Caribbean Suite and the Mickey Mouse Penthouse.

    Paradise Pier Hotel

    • The least expensive of the Disney properties uses California beach boardwalks as its theme and features a rooftop view of California Adventure. The roof also sports a pool with waterslide, fitness center and children's movie-viewing area. As with all Disney Resort hotels, guests can take advantage of Magic Mornings, which allow entry into the park before the general public on select days. The largest Master Suite houses six or more occupants.

    Anaheim Camelot Inn and Suites

    • This property is across the street from the Disneyland Resort entrance and is a designated Good Neighbor hotel. This means it works with Disneyland to offer priority and passes to resort guests. The rates here are less expensive than even the Paradise Pier, with discounts for groups, and for AAA or AARP members. Amenities include a pool and sun deck with Jacuzzi, complimentary continental breakfast, free parking even for buses, coin laundry room and rooms up to a deluxe one-bedroom family suite with a living room, bedroom, dining table and chairs, and a refrigerator and microwave.
