Located in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, Bays De Noc is made up of Little Bay De Noc and Big Bay De Noc, encompassing more than 120,000 acres of water. The area is a great vacation spot, offering year-round outdoor activities for the entire family. The towns of Gladstone and Escanaba are the largest in the area.
Bays De Noc is a fishing destination and the most popular catch is walleye. The area is also known for smallmouth bass, northern pike, perch, Chinook salmon and rainbow trout. During the winter, the fast-forming ice makes Bays De Noc a prime ice fishing location. Anyone 17 years or older must have a fishing license to fish, except on Michigan Free Fishing Weekend.
The area offers an abundance of outdoor activities including golf, horseback riding, swimming, camping and hiking. Fall is hunting season in the area, and during the winter, visitors can enjoy ice skating, hockey, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling.
Ludington Park and Van Cleve Park both have beaches with lifeguards on duty during the summer. The sites also have picnic facilities and playgrounds.
Fayette State Park offers a glimpse into the industrial past of the Upper Peninsula. Sand Point Lighthouse and Peninsula Point Lighthouse showcase views of Lake Michigan and provide local history. The Delta County Historical Museum is located in Ludington Park.
Located on an Indian reservation less than 15 miles away, the Chip-In Casino offers blackjack, poker and slots.

Green Bay, Wisconsin is the closest large city to the Bays De Noc area. Detroit, Chicago and Toronto are within a day's drive.
