The family camp has a long history and has been going strong since the 1920s. Once a country lodge, Beechpoint Christian Camp has a history dating back to before the 1950s. While this camp is mostly geared toward kids looking for a Christian summer camp experience, the camp also hosts retreats for up to 150 people throughout the year. The camp features dorm and cabin lodging, and meals are a family-style experience. For recreation, families can enjoy swimming in the lake as well as canoeing, paddle boating and rides on a pontoon or motor boat.

If you're looking for a bit more lively Christian family lake vacation, the Unity Christian Music Festival might be just the ticket. The Christian music festival, put on by Advanced Ministry, takes place each August on the lake shore in Muskegon. Attendees can enjoy the wealth of positive Christian music as well as activities like prayer tents and fellowship and kids' activities such as rock climbing and jumping castles. Attendees can't camp right on site, but many campgrounds are nearby to accommodate you.
