Though Huntsville only has two gay bars, the gay population is finding more acceptance and tolerance in the city. Past gay pride events had before been met with protesters, but the most recent pride event had no protests and was allowed to be conducted peacefully. With a growing acceptance of gay and lesbian people, the gay culture is sure to thrive in Huntsville.
