Wooster, Ohio Boutique Hotels

Wooster, Ohio is located in Wayne county and boasts a population of around 26,000 people, as of 2010. An obvious pride in the past rings throughout the historic downtown. Located near the heart of Amish country, Wooster still has its weekly farmers market every Saturday on Market Street in downtown. Because of the city's historic background, many of the boutique inns and hotels are located in remodeled Victorian-style homes.

  1. The Black Squirrel Inn

    • This Victorian home has been converted into a bed and breakfast that houses four rooms. Television and Internet access are provided in the rooms. Fireplaces are located in both the living and dining rooms and offer an excellent end to the day so you can cozy up with a good book or a loved one.

    Gramma Elma's Bed and Breakfast

    • Located just on the outskirts of Wooster, Gramma Elma's is located in the heart of Amish country. Decorated in a quaint farmhouse style, the owners offer a very relaxed atmosphere with all of the luxury's of modern technology. Room rates vary throughout the year, but, as of January of 2011, are listed at a very affordable $69 to $79 a night. There is an additional charge of $10 per person for parties over two that are sharing a room.

    Barristers End

    • Housed in a Victorian home constructed in 1897, Barristers End is located right near downtown. It prides itself on being one of the best places to stay in town. As of January 2011, the room rates range from $80 to $95 a night, but that cost does include a full breakfast.

    Market Street Inn

    • Like the Barristers End, the Market Street Inn is also housed in a Victorian home that was built in 1897. In operation since 1995, the Market Street Inn has five luxury rooms to choose from and they are in walking distance to the local university. Breakfast is served every morning and features homemade scones and granola.
