Cidra, Puerto Rico is known as "the town of the eternal spring" or "El Pueblo de la Eterna Primavera." A notable attraction in Cidra is a heavily protected bird species known as La Paloma Sabenera, a blue-eyed bird. While there are not any hotels in Cidra there are plenty nearby in other towns.
Located 30 minutes away from Cidra, in Caguas, is the Four Points Hotel. The hotel has lush exterior landscaping and simple design on the interior. The hotel is completely smoke-free. They have personal trainers and masseuses at the hotel as well as complimentary wine before dinner. Three restaurants are on the premises for convenience. The Hotel El Convento is also near the El Yunque Rain Forest.
Located in a hospital 45 minutes away from Cidra is a Howard Johnson Hotel. It is on the fourth floor of the Centro Médico, Río Piedras but has its own entrance and elevator. The hotel accommodates health tourists and others who need an affordable place to stay. The hotel does not have many amenities but it is close to many restaurants, beaches, and casinos.
Fifty minutes away from Cidra, in Bayamón, is the San Miguel Plaza Hotel. They offer complimentary breakfast, and a golf course and a tennis center are nearby. The Parque de las Ciencias Luis A. Ferre is close by and hosts many notable attractions such as a planetarium.
