Disneyland has three hotels: Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Disneyland Hotel and Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel. The Grand Californian, the most luxurious choice, is the most expensive as well. It also has more ways for you to spend additional money, with a spa, an arcade and private cabanas for rent at the three pools.
The chief reason anyone stays at a Disneyland hotel is to visit the theme parks. Be sure to wake your kids early; take advantage of the Magic Morning Early Entry. This family-friendly, free perk allows early admission to select attractions. You have to have a valid theme park admission ticket, which you should purchase in advance. It has to be a three day or more Disneyland Resort Park Hopper souvenir Ticket from the Walt Disney Travel Company. The early entry is offered on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Get to Disney's California Adventure Park faster with a special entrance from the hotel right into the park. You must have a valid theme park admission ticket. The quick entry is also useful if you want to nip back into your hotel for a child's nap or a swim. From your room, you can watch the World of Color nighttime spectacular over Paradise Bay.
If you want to avail yourself of the child care through Pinocchio's Workshop, the Grand Californian is the most convenient of the Disney hotels; the child care facility for all three hotels is in the Grand Californian. Parents get a night off; children ages five to 12 enjoy an evening of arts and crafts, computer games, Disney films, dinner and snacks.
