Vermilion is a rural town in Vermilion River County, Alberta. With a population of less than 4,500 residents, it has a friendly, small-town atmosphere. The town’s major attractions are Vermilion Provincial Park and the Vermilion Aquatic Center, but the area has a good selection of local eateries, shops and a golf course just outside town. In wintertime, Vermilion provides a convenient base for skiing holidays, with numerous cross-country ski trails around the town.
