Lincolnton, Georgia, sits seven miles west of the South Carolina state line and more than 100 miles east of Atlanta, Georgia. The small town is surrounded by lush green farm land and lies near beautiful Lake Thurmond, which is less than five miles away. The small town has a population of about 1,600 people and is sparsely populated. The nearest Georgia town, Washington, lies 15 miles to the west on Highway 43, and the closest town to the east, McCormick, lies 13 miles in South Carolina on Highway 43.

    • The historic Fannie Kates Country Inn is situated 13 miles east of Lincolnton in McCormick, South Carolina, and has been around for more than 110 years. Fannie Kate has a small restaurant and pub on site, and the inn was built in 1882 right near a railroad depot. The inn has seven rooms that come with free wireless Internet, and a full breakfast. Some rooms come with fireplaces. The entire inn was renovated in 1994 when purchased from the Kate family.

    Jameson Inn

    • The Jameson Inn is located in Washington, Georgia, 16.2 miles west of Lincolnton. The hotel has a fitness center, outdoor pool and free deluxe continental breakfast. The inn has no on-site dining facilities, but two cafes and a Mexican restaurant are within walking distance of the inn.The Jameson also has meeting space for business meetings. Rooms include microwaves, refrigerators and daily newspapers. The Jameson offers nonsmoking rooms and allows pets less than 10 lbs. for a $25 pet fee.

    The Fitzpatrick Hotel

    • The Fitzpatrick Hotel is located in downtown Washington, Georgia, just under 18 miles to the west of Lincolnton, Georgia. The 16-room hotel was constructed in 1898 and remains an excellent example of high-class hotels of its era. The historic hotel was purchased and renovated by Fitzpatrick LLC in 2002 and reopened in June of 2004. Many of the rooms are adorned with dark polished woods of the time with hardwood floors and antique bathtubs. Modern amenities include DSL Internet service, satellite TV and Victorian furnishings. A free breakfast is served daily for all guests. The Hotel has a nonsmoking policy and does not allow pets.
