Instructions

    • 1

Visit the official website for Manchester Airport. The site has all the information you will need including details of the airport layout, maps and tips on how to make the most of your trip.

    • 2

Plan how to get to the airport. There are maps and directions on the website, as well as a journey planner for public transport options. You can also book a car park space if you are planning to drive. Manchester Airport is just off the M56 motorway at junction 5. There are train services between the airport and Manchester Piccadilly station 6 times an hour. The journey takes about 20 minutes.

Park your vehicle. There are around 14,000 car park spaces at the airport for both short and long stays. Courtesy buses to the car parks are clearly signposted outside the terminals. Book car park spaces in advance for discounted rates.

Look at the Airport Complex map. Click on each section to zoom in and see more detail. You can see how to get from one terminal to another as well as what shops and facilities are located in each terminal.

Know which terminal you need. There are three terminals at Manchester Airport. If you're flying to or from Manchester Airport, your terminal number should be clearly printed on your ticket or included with your flight confirmation. There is also a list on the website of which airlines fly from which terminal.

Find your way from one terminal to another. Terminals 1 and 3 are housed in the same building and connected by a corridor. Terminal 2 is in a separate building accessible through the Station, the airport's train station, which is connected to all terminals via a skywalk with moving walkways.

    • 7

Print the airport map. It can be helpful to have the map with you in case you have any problems when you arrive.

    • 8

Ask for directions at the Information Desks located in the Arrivals hall in each terminal. You also can use the blue courtesy phones that link directly to the Information Desk.
