The Downtown Disney District in California is a place designed to allow visitors to shop all day, have fun all night and dine in between. It's not possible to fully explore the entire place in one day with so many things to do and see. Fortunately, adjacent hotels can accommodate those wanting to extend their visit.
A proud recipient of AAA's Four Diamond rating, Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is located just footsteps away from the Downtown Disney District. The hotel, the first ever to be built inside a Disney theme park (California Adventure), features four types of rooms. The cheapest standard view room costs about $380 for one night, as of September 2010. An exclusive entryway and early-morning power walk through Disney's California Adventure Park are given to the guests of the hotel. A Grand Quest scavenger hunt is also conducted at 4 p.m. daily. During the evening, Pinocchio's Workshop is held in a child-care facility where 5- to 12-year-olds get to play, dine and watch Disney films.
