    Hotel de Glace

    • Hotel de Glace in Quebec, Canada, opened in 2001. A hotel constructed completely of ice and snow, it opens its doors to guests from early January to late March. Before guests stay the night, they attend a briefing explaining the equipment they will need and how to use it. Hotel de Glace has 36 rooms and themed suites: the standard rooms offer 1, 2 or 3 queen beds, while the themed suites contain ice sculptures and have a log fireplace, or a private spa and fireplace. Beds are made with a solid ice base and have a wooden box spring and mattress on top. When evening arrives, guests can look forward to the arrival of their arctic sleeping bags.

    • Also known as The Castle in the Rockies, the Fairmont Banff Springs is designed after a Scottish Baronial castle. This hotel is located in Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada.
