The Riverwood Inn was built in 1937 and is considered one of the last roadhouses from that era. The inn offers guests a Mexican restaurant, a full bar and live music on the weekends. The Riverwood Inn is located on the Avenue of the Giants near Shelter Cove, the Victorian town of Ferndale, and the Redwood National and State Forests. The inn itself includes rooms without a lot of frills, such as telephones or televisions, but with private bathrooms. It is not recommended for children because of this, but may be an experience for those looking to explore the area.
