Belize, on Central America's Caribbean Sea coast, counts cave tubing among it most popular tourist attractions. Cave tubing is floating on the water in an inner tube through underground caves once used by the Mayan Indians. These tours are typically led by a guide and many hotels in Belize have cave tubing tours or will arrange them for their guests.
Hamanasi Adventure and Dive Resort has suites, cabanas and beachfront rooms. The hotel recommends getting to Hamanasi via air. After arriving at the Belize International Airport, guests can take a connecting flight on one of the small passenger planes that make the 20-minute flight to the Dangriga Airstrip, where hotel staff can meet them. The hotel has a restaurant, bar and fresh water swimming pool as well as regular live entertainment. Hamanasi offers many rainforest and reef-tour packages including cave tubing at Caves Branch. The cave tubing tour departs early in the morning and returns late in the afternoon and includes lunch. Guests also have the opportunity to walk through the holy chambers of the Mayan shaman and priests and view ancient Mayan artifacts.
