Montrose is an unincorporated community in Summit County, Ohio. The Montrose-Ghent Census-Designated Place has a population of 5,261 (2000 estimate) and is part of the Akron Metropolitan Statistical Area. It has also been known as Mont Rose, Ellis Corners, Lattas Corners and Yellow Creek. It is about 3 miles south of Copley and 7 miles northwest of Akron, and is about halfway between Chicago and New York City.
