Doggie Hotels in Michigan City, Indiana

Americans owned 77.5 million dogs in 2009, according to the American Pet Product Manufacturers Association, and they spend over 21 million dollars a year boarding them. Owners want to make sure their pets are safe and well cared for when they're away from home. The Pet Care Association has established standards for boarding facilities that include insuring that all enclosures provide enough space for normal movement, all exercise is supervised, and all actions taken due to illness or accidents, or when administering medications, are written down and documented. A copy of the standards is available on the association's website.
