Wichita Falls lies approximately five hours southeast of Amarillo. Formerly known as "Cruse Acres," Legacy Park Equestrian Center offers new stalls (12-by 12 foot with fresh hay included for an additional fee. RV hookup, as well as big rig access, is available. On-site owners Sam and Laurie Cruse provide personal security in addition to a camera surveillance system. A 500 square-foot guest room should be completed in 2010.

4.5 hours east of Amarillo, 2TM Rope Horses in Shawnee, Oklahoma, offers horse boarding along with a small apartment that sleeps up to four adults. The apartment includes a bed, a sofa-sleeper and a bathroom. RV hookup is available, as well. Up to four horses can stay nearby in a 12-by-12 foot stall. Accommodations for additional horses include partially-covered stalls. Use of a 140-by-360 square-foot arena, roping steers and/or cans are available for a fee.
