A pair of Canadian brothers first surveyed and settled the land around present-day Ontario, California in 1881. Today, this landlocked city of over 170,000 people sits roughly 35 miles east of Los Angeles. California’s Metrolink rail system services Ontario, and tourists can also arrive via the Ontario-Los Angeles International Airport, or travel by car on Interstates 10 and 15 or State Routes 60 or 83.
