The tiny town of Dewey Beach, Delaware, is just a mile long and only three blocks wide. It's nestled between the Atlantic Ocean to the east and Rehoboth Bay to the west. The Atlantic Oceanside Motel is, just as its name states, on the side of the Coastal Highway that runs along the Atlantic Ocean. It offers both rooms and suites, a heated outdoor pool, and free wireless Internet access. As of August 2010, the charge for dogs to stay is $5 per night. The motel places no restriction on size or weight, but does require a credit card to be held for emergency damages. From Memorial Day to Labor Day dogs are only allowed in suites, not in rooms. The rest of the year, the motel allows them in any room. Dogs must be on a leash and should not stay in the room unattended for long periods of time.

The AmericInn Lodge & Suites is on the bay side of town, close to Rehoboth Bay Beach and boardwalk. The hotel has 49 rooms and six suites, an indoor pool and complimentary breakfast. It is located less than 2 miles from a waterpark, a speedway park and a shopping district with 130 outlet stores. AmericInn Lodge & Suites welcomes dogs of all sizes and weights. As of August 2010, dogs can stay at the hotel for a charge of $20 per night. Guests must also sign a pet policy that covers rules and agree to pay for damages. The rooms feature SoundGuard construction, making them extra quiet.

The Homestead at Rehoboth Bed & Breakfast is on two open acres of land, just minutes from Rehoboth Beach. The Homestead has become a popular vacation destination for pet owners. This adult-only bed and breakfast is an old farmhouse with four bedrooms, each with a private bath. The owners pride themselves on being pet-friendly, and offer special amenities, like a dog walk area and a pet shower for use upon returning from the beach. All dogs are welcome. If dogs are more than 80 lbs., management asks for advance notification. As of August 2010, the nightly fee for dogs is $15, and beds must be covered if the dog will be on it.
