Resorts With Water Slides

A number of resorts with water slides exist throughout the U.S. These resorts generally cater to families. Some resorts provide indoor water parks with several slides that allow families to enjoy the fun of sliding into a heated pool even in cold weather.

  1. Walt Disney World Resort

    • Several of the Walt Disney World Resort properties located in Orlando, Florida provide themed swimming pools complete with water slides for their guests to enjoy. The Polynesian Resort features a volcano water slide in its main pool. The Coronado Springs Resort provides its guests with a Mayan pyramid water slide. The Boardwalk Inn located near Epcot has a roller coaster water slide. The Disney Yacht and Beach Club offers guests the opportunity to take a ride down a shipwreck slide. The Old Key West Resort gives families the chance to experience a ride down its sandcastles slide. Each of these resorts provides access to their themed pools and slides free to guests staying at the hotel for the length of their visit.

    CoCo Key Water Resorts

    • CoCo Key Water Resorts combines hotel accommodations with an onsite water park to create a complete family-friendly vacation destination. Various locations of CoCo Key Water Resorts exist in Rockford, Illinois; Omaha, Nebraska; Cincinnati and Columbus, Ohio; Boston and Fitchburg, Massachusetts; Waterbury, Connecticut; Mount Laurel, New Jersey; Orlando, Florida; and Kansas City, Missouri. Each location is designed similarly. For example, the Kansas City destination offers a 55,000-square-foot indoor water park. It includes body and tube slides, an adventure river and an indoor/outdoor spa area for adults. The shallow pool area shows different movies and cartoons that children can enjoy as they splash and play. As of 2010, it's the largest indoor water resort in Missouri. The room rate includes park passes for the length of a stay.

    Great Wolf Lodges

    • The Great Wolf Lodge combines an indoor water park with onsite hotel lodging to create one mega-resort for families. Each of the Lodge's 12 destinations in the U.S. and Canada has a "north woods" theme. Its temperature-regulated indoor water parks, set at 84º, allow for year-round water fun. The parks provide multiple body and tube water slides, such as Alberta Falls, Totem Towers, River Canyon Run, Coyote Cannon and Double Barrel Drop, which are designed for young children and adults. The water park also offers a crooked river to float on a tube, a wave pool and a kiddie pool, among other water-related activities. Access to the water park is free with the purchase of a vacation package at the resort. Locations are in Charlotte-Concord, North Carolina; Grand Mound, Washington; Grapevine, Texas; Kansas City, Kansas; Mason, Ohio; Niagara Falls, Canada; Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania; Sandusky, Ohio; Sheboygan, Wisconsin; Traverse City, Michigan; Williamsburg, Virginia; and Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. The Great Wolf Lodge provides a lot of destinations for families to choose their next vacation.
