Skidaway Island is a census-designated place on the coast of Georgia. Located less than 20 miles from Savannah, the CDP reported a population of approximately 7,000 for the 2000 census. There are several places to stay close to Skidaway Island. This allows residents to maintain access to the coast while getting to experience the many attractions of the Savannah area.
