Chetek is a small city located in central-western Wisconsin in Barron County. As of the 2000 census, the population of Chetek was approximately 2,200 people. The city is situated on the shores of Lake Chetek and Prairie Lake, both part of the Six Lakes Chain, and offers many recreational activities, including fishing, hiking, boating and mountain biking. Visitors also will find luxury-oriented resorts available in the area.
