Set on southwest tip of Madeline Island on Lake Superior, Brittany Cottages offer six waterfront cabins open May to October. Madeline Island is accessible by ferry from Bayfield and guests are welcome to bring their boats; however, personal water craft, such as Jet Skis, are not allowed at the resort. All cottages are equipped with full kitchens and satellite TV and linens and towels, but they have no telephones and no housekeeping is provided. While there is a tea room, there are no dining facilities at the resort. Madeline Island towns of La Pointe and Ashland feature restaurants, golf and tennis, swimming pools, hiking trails, boat rentals and museums. A 50 percent deposit is required for reservations and cancellation fees do apply. There is a minimum two night stay required for some cottages.
