South Street Seaport is a tourist attraction and historic area that separates lower Manhattan from Brooklyn. Located at Fulton Street and offering visitors views of the Williamsburg, Manhattan, and Brooklyn bridges, South Street Seaport allows a different, more low-key image of New York. Although shopping is a main draw for visitors of the seaport, amazing views can be met with delicious meals at some of South Street's fabulous restaurants.
With a view of the Brooklyn Bridge and a menu complete with delicious seafood options, Harbour Lights offers American cuisine in a romantic setting. In fact, according to its website, it has been voted one of the top 10 romantic restaurants in New York. Priding itself on steak and seafood, Harbour Lights offers something for everyone from the casual seafood eater (fish and chips) to the seafood fanatic (black olive crusted salmon) and beyond. The menu prices peak at $30, which is average for a steak and seafood restaurant. The restaurant is open for brunch, lunch, and dinner and is also available for private parties and weddings. Spectacular views and delicious fare make Harbour Lights a great place to bring out of town guests or to impress a certain someone.

Cabana has locations throughout the U.S. However, not all of them have been written up as a "mini vacation with waterfront views" by Zagat. A truly delicious treat for your senses, Cabana Nuevo Seaport offers up all types of tempting Latin and Caribbean fare from Jerk wings to plantains with garlic mojo sauce and ropa vieja. Menu prices stay between $14 to $24 for entrees and $6 to $14 for appetizers.
Sandwiches, lunch entrees, and specialty salads are just some of the things Cabana has perfected. There is truly something for everyone in this deceivingly tropical atmosphere. While Cabana Nuevo is family-friendly during the day, this location lends itself to a great night spot for adults looking for a cocktail and a view.

Beers, burgers, and view for a reasonable price in Manhattan are very hard to find--unless you make a stop at MacMenamin's Irish Pub. Although it's a tourist stop, the locals often come in for a good deal on beer and the pub's well known open-faced sandwiches.
A view of the Brooklyn Bridge and the temptation of $5 pints should be enough to get you in the door, but if not, the family-friendly atmosphere and the classic menu offerings like burgers and sandwiches should do the trick after a long day of sightseeing. The restaurant is opened for lunch and dinner and menu is priced well with most items ranging between $9 and $15. This isn't the place to get an over-priced, chef created meal but it is a great place to grab a Guinness on draft or an Irish coffee, take in the view, and relax from all things touristy happening in South Street Seaport.
