Chop't Creative Salad Company operates six restaurants throughout the New York City region, including outlets in Union Square, Times Square, the Financial District and three in Midtown. The counter service, salad bar establishments offer a host of options, including more than 25 dressings and 50 ingredients for making salads. As an added bonus, every 60 days Chop't offers a set of new seasonal salads. The restaurant also serves salads in wraps as well. Chop't experiences long lines during the lunch rush, typically between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., however, large and efficient work staffs help keep the wait time down.
Just Salad features five restaurants situated in New York City, including the Fashion District, Murray Hill and 30 Rockefeller Plaza. The restaurant features soups, wraps, chef-designed salads and a salad bar outfitted with more than 50 ingredients. The workers prep your ingredients and chop your salad right in front of you. The restaurant also includes a frozen yogurt bar. For the eco-conscious diner, Just Salad offers reusable salad bowls in a variety of different colors for just $1. Guests who use the reusable bowl receive two free toppings on their salad with each visit.
Opened in response to the lack of healthy food found in Harlem, Island Salad specializes in organic salads and wraps, including a wide variety of salad bar samplings. The counter service restaurant highlights Caribbean-themed ingredients such as jerk vinaigrette and Caribbean mango vinaigrette, as well as an ice tea blend and gourmet soda beverage bar. Island Salad's brightly colored decor features exposed brick walls, recessed lighting, hard wood floors and high-back wooden booths. Guests can also dine in an outdoor patio located behind the restaurant.
