New York Grand Central Station Hotels

New York's Grand Central Station, or Grand Central Terminal, as it is officially named, opened in 1913 and underwent restoration between 1996 and 1998. The station is in the heart of midtown Manhattan at Park Avenue and 42nd Street and serves train routes to various destinations in New York state and Connecticut. The terminal is home to 25 restaurants and cocktail lounges, the gourmet food market Grand Central Market and 50 shops. The terminal is also a venue for public events and is close to several quality hotels.

    • Dylan Hotel occupies a restored 1903 Beaux Arts building, formerly the Chemists' Club. Situated one block west of Grand Central Station, the Dylan Hotel has 107 guest rooms and suites.     The Roosevelt Hotel

    • Located two blocks north of Grand Central Station, the Roosevelt Hotel has been in business since 1924. The hotel has 1,015 rooms, including 52 suites, all with flat-screen televisions with cable channels, high-speed Internet access for an additional fee and iPod-equipped clock radios.     The Library Hotel

    • The Library Hotel is on Madison Avenue, two blocks west of Grand Central Station. The hotel occupies a 1900 brick and terracotta building and is steps from the New York Public Library. Each of the hotel's 60 rooms is on a floor dedicated to one of 10 categories such as Literature, Social Science and Philosophy. All rooms feature a collection of books corresponding to their category, as well as cable television, high-speed Internet access, minibars, bathrobes and a selection of DVDs. Guests receive complimentary admission to a nearby health club, as well as a complimentary breakfast each morning. Guests can have lunch and dinner at the on-site Madison and Vine American bistro, and cocktails at the Bookmarks Lounge.
