Tupper Lake, N.Y. Motels

Located deep in the heart of New York's Adirondack mountains, the resort town of Tupper Lake welcomes travelers who thrive on exploring nature. For more than a century, the forests, peaks and waterways surrounding Tupper Lake have drawn humble hunters and fishermen as well as New York City's wealthiest families. Tupper Lake has preserved that rich heritage, and today, visitors can stay at the Great Camp Sagamore, the former rural retreat of the Vanderbilt family, or at one of the area's simple and affordable motels.
  1. Sunset Park Motel

    • Sunset Park Motel caters to guests who visit the Adirondacks to fish and hunt. The affordable, lakefront motel rents small motor boats by the hour, day or week. Guests can also fish from the docks at the motel's private sandy beach. Hunters stalk black bears, coyote and deer on nearby public and private land. During the winter, the motel becomes a hub for ice fishermen and snowmobilers who can access the Adirondack region's extensive network of snowmobile trails. With only 11 rooms, the motel provides a cozy atmosphere where guests often mingle and share experiences. Restaurants and shops are a short walk from the motel.

    Tupper Lake Motel

    • Guests consistently give the family-operated Tupper Lake Motel high marks for cleanliness and friendly service. A five-minute walk from the shore of Lake Tupper, the motel shares the neighborhood with a variety of restaurants, cafes and shops. All single and double rooms are ground level and handicap accessible. Guests can picnic at the lake on in a private area behind the motel.
