Wanderlust World Wanderlust World The Silver Islet Bed and Breakfast is located in the village of Silver Islet. It offers four bedrooms and modern bathrooms. The Great Hall on the main floor features hardwood floors, a fireplace, pine siding and a dining room. The patio and deck looks over the shore of Lake Superior. The restored building dates to about 1868 when it was the Silver Islet Mine carpentry shop. The Silver Islet Bed and Breakfast is open from June to September and by request only at other times of the year.
The Eldorado Beach on Lake Superior Bed and Breakfast, is located about 27 miles from the village of Silver Islet. Just off the Trans Canada Highway, it looks over the shore of Lake Superior. Three rooms are available, with twin, double or queen sized beds. It also has shared, or private bathroom options. Breakfast choices include Coddled Eggs and French Toast with sauteed banana sauce. Guests are asked to inquire before bringing pets. All rooms are smoke-free.
The Days Inn & Suites is located in the Thunder Bay, the closest city to Silver Islet. Built in 2002, this hotel offers 92 rooms and suites, an indoor pool, spa, steam bath and fitness center. High speed Internet access is free to all rooms. Amenities also include coffee makers, alarm clock radios, cable television, irons and ironing boards in each room. Room types include one or two beds, to deluxe suites with a kitchenette, fireplace and Jacuzzi.
The Super 8 in Thunder Bay offers rooms on two stories with a choice of interior or exterior room access. Connecting rooms are also available. Coffee and tea in the hotel lobby is free of charge 24 hours daily. Rooms feature free high speed Internet access, cable television, free local calls, 24-hour guest services, and laundry facilities.
