Valley East, Ontario Hotels

Valley East is the largest of the six communities in the Regional Municipality of Sudbury, with a recorded population of 22,374 in 2001, the last census year it was recorded as a separate city. In 2000, Valley East and the rest of the regional municipality amalgamated into Greater Sudbury, with the area formerly known as Valley East, named so because it compromises the eastern half of the Sudbury Basin, accounting for Wards 5 and 6 of the Greater Sudbury municipality. The area of Valley East is close to Sudbury's attractions with plenty of accommodations for tourists to Northern Ontario.

    • Pine Falls Lodge is the closest accommodation to the area formerly known as Valley East. It is located in nearby Capreol on Washagami Lake, just over four miles from the heart of Valley East. The lodge offers modern amenities with a true Northern Ontario feel, with nearby restaurants, attractions and family activities on Washagami Lake and in the Greater Sudbury area.

    • Valley Inn Motel Hotel offers 28 guest rooms, with either a queen bed or two double beds, free local calling and Wi-fi, and in-room refrigerators and microwaves. The restaurant on-site offers a variety of fresh fish and game selections, as well as vegetarian options. If you visit in the winter, Valley Inn offers a snow mobile trail leading out from the property. It is centrally located close to major Sudbury attractions like the famous Big Nickel and the Science North museum.

    Falcon Hotel

    • The Falcon Hotel is located about 10 miles south of Valley East along the Falconbridge Highway. It is a small hotel offering comfortable guest rooms. The hotel is located close to major Sudbury attractions. There is no restaurant on-site, but it is located next to a Tim Horton's and close to a variety of other restaurants and dining establishments.

    Sudbury Chain Hotels

    • Downtown Sudbury boasts several larger chain hotels, suitable for guests looking for the familiar amenities of popular hotels. Downtown Sudbury is about 12.4 miles southwest of Valley East and home to most of Sudbury's large attractions. Its proximity makes Valley East and surrounding rural areas easily accessible for travelers. Some of the larger hotels with properties in downtown Sudbury include Radisson, Days Inn, Howard Johnson, Best Western, Comfort Inn, Travelodge, Holiday Inn, Hampton Inn, Super 8 and Fairfield Inn & Suites.
