Durango Resort on Vallecito Lake is located in southwest Colorado, 20 miles northeast of Durango. The resort features a variety of one-, two- and three-bedroom fully equipped lakefront cabins to accommodate from two to 14 guests. Satellite television and wireless Internet keep guests in touch with the world, but no telephones means no vacation interruptions. One of the cabins located five miles from the resort property features a seven-person hot tub and a paddle boat. Shadow Mountain Guest Ranch is located in Granby in north central Colorado. Open year-round, the ranch offers one- and two-room cabins, plus two- and three-bedroom well-appointed cabins, accommodating two to 12 guests. A complementary home-cooked breakfast is served from 9 to 10 a.m. daily except on Mondays, Thursdays and major holidays. The lodge is a gathering place for guests to watch television, play games or chat. It can accommodate up to 50 people, making it ideal for groups and meetings. An outdoor hot tub is available for relaxation and a licensed massage therapist is on-call. Horseback riding is offered and riders can access the Arapahoe National Forest from the ranch property. The SolVista Ski area is also nearby. There is a wide range of outdoor recreational activities at Shadow Mountain.
Black Forest Bed and Breakfast Lodge and Cabins, is located in south central Colorado in Colorado Springs. As many as 12 guests can be accommodated in the one- to four-bedroom cabins. A tray of fresh fruit and hot muffins are delivered each morning for breakfast. The lodge, featuring a dance floor, fireplace and baby grand piano is available for reunions, weddings, business meetings and retreats. Baby llamas live at Black Forest and guests can hand feed them. There are outdoor activities to occupy visitors, such as fishing, biking and golf. The popular Pikes Peak tourist attractions are just 15 to 20 minutes away.
