Log Lane Village, Colorado is a town with an approximate population of 1,022 in Morgan County. It is located 80 miles east of Denver, Colorado in a plains region. The town is just one mile from the county seat of Fort Morgan where there is a public pool, a municipal golf course, a 240-acre wildlife park and more. Log Lane Village is easily accessible via the interstate highway and the nearby Fort Morgan Municipal Airport. It may not be located in the Rocky Mountains, but the Rockies' ski slopes are a short drive away.

    • The Eldora Mountain Resort is approximately 115 miles west of Log Lane Village, near Boulder, Colorado. This ski and snowboard resort has 680 acres of terrain, three terrain parks and 11 ski lifts. Four restaurants and a sporting goods store are located at the resort. There are many lodging options available in close proximity to the resort. It is easily accessible via highway from Log Lane Village and by shuttle buses from Boulder.

    King Mountain Ranch

    • The King Mountain Ranch advertises itself as a "dude ranch and western mountain resort." Driving to King Mountain Ranch from Log Lane Village takes approximately three hours. It is also near Boulder and is surrounded by the Arapahoe National Forest. Activities at the King Mountain Ranch include horseback riding, shooting sports, fishing, hiking and more. There are two lodging options available at the ranch. The lodge has 34 rooms with private baths, views of Buffalo Valley and either a king-sized bed or two full-sized beds. The King House is a three-story cabin with eight bedrooms that is more appropriate for groups.

    • The Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch is located outside of Fort Collins, Colorado, approximately 70 miles to the northwest of Log Lane Village. It has been named "Best Family Vacation" by Frommer's Colorado guidebook and rated among the "Top Ten Colorado Dude Ranches" by True West magazine. It is close to the Rocky Mountain National Park and offers a variety of outdoor activities. Cabins, guest houses and a bunk house are available for guests. There is also a business center and facilities for large groups.

    Winter Park Resort

    • The Winter Park Resort is located in Winter Park, Colorado, 142 miles from Log Lane Village. It is primarily a ski and snowboard resort, but also hosts summertime activities. Wintertime activities besides skiing and snowboarding include tours, ice skating and snowshoeing. Summertime activities include mountain biking, disc golf, rock climbing and more. Lodging at the resort includes slope side condos and town homes and the Vintage Hotel. The surrounding area hosts a variety of inns, hotels, motels and ranches.
