Mountain Resorts in Arizona

An Arizona vacation doesn't have to mean cacti, deserts and temperatures over 100 degrees. The state has more than 200 mountain peaks that provide opportunities for hiking, spelunking, rock climbing and skiing. Near Payson, resort goers can peer over the 2000-foot drop of the Mogollon Rim or hike the Tonto Natural Bridge, the largest of its kind in the world. Summer hunting and winter skiing are just two of the activities available to travelers at Sunrise Park Resort on the White Mountains near Greer.
