Located at the base of the San Francisco Mountains, the resort offers open views of the nearby peaks and hills. The pine-scented grounds feature volleyball and basketball courts as well as a horseshoe pit for casual recreation. Seven cabins are sprinkled throughout the 13-acre grounds and most feature classic A-frame loft layouts with wood-burning stoves and fully equipped kitchens. Couples will appreciate the cozy smaller cabins while a larger cabin can accommodate groups of up to 16 people for family retreats. Three suites in the main lodge feature in-room brandy service and guests staying in the lodge are treated to breakfast each morning.

    Mormon Lake Lodge

    • The heavily forested mountain ambiance of the Mormon Lake Lodge is spiced with cowboy flavor that features a popular 1880's saloon and open-pit mesquite steakhouse. Twenty-four motel-style rooms are spread throughout the 300-acre resort in duplex, 3-plex and 4-plex buildings. Forty-five pine log cabins are tucked away amidst the ponderosa pine forest and provide private retreats in a wooded setting. An RV park and campground is just down the road from the main lodge and offers 74 campsites with full facilities. Guests can explore more than 300 miles of area trails on foot and trail rides by horseback are offered from May through September each year. The resort also organizes special rodeo events during the summer to add to the cowboy flair. Snowmobiling and cross-country skiing through the backcountry trails are popular attractions during the winter months.

    • Guests can choose from a wide array of activities and amenities at the sprawling Wyndham Resort in Flagstaff.
