Grand Canyon National Park is available to visitors from the North and South Rim. Located 60 miles north of Williams, Arizona and 80 miles northwest of Flagstaff, Arizona the South Rim encompasses the most accessible areas and in-park lodging. The South Rim is open all year round. The North Rim, located 10 miles across the canyon from the South Rim, is remote and open, weather permitting, June through September. Those seeking accommodations with a kitchen, however, may have to stay in hotels outside the Grand Canyon.
The Grand Canyon Railway Hotel, located in Williams, is owned by the Grand Canyon Railway. The luxurious, western-inspired hotel was built to resemble a century-old train depot. The property features several large suites that include kitchenettes. While the hotel is located south of the Canyon, packages can be purchased that include train transportation to the Canyon on the Grand Canyon Railway.
