The south entrance to the Grand Canyon is open year-round. According to the park's website, it is a five-hour drive from either the north entrance or the skywalk on the western corridor, which the Haulapai Indian Tribe operates. You may find a number of cozy hotels near the south rim that are open year-round.
The Grand Lodge is 3.8 miles from the entrance to Grand Canyon National Park. The focal point of the lobby is a stone fireplace that extends from floor to ceiling. Guest rooms may have either a king or queen bed with pillow top mattresses. They also include a flat-panel television, work desk, telephone, coffee maker, hair dryer and clock radio.
