The Grand Canyon, located in Arizona, remains a natural wonder that was created by the roaring waters of the Colorado River. The 277-mile long canyon can reach depths of up to one mile at spots and is a popular travel destination for those heading towards the western part of the United States. Lodging choices close to the Grand Canyon range from full service hotels to small motels.
The Canyon Motel & RV Park was built in 1940 and maintains its rustic look and feel that is reminiscent of the Old West. The cottage style rooms are the traditional rooms and there are also Caboose style suites that are large enough to house five or six guests, and Railcar rooms that are located inside of an authentic 1929 Grand Canyon Railcar. All rooms at the motel feature comforts such as coffee makers, microwaves, small refrigerators and cable television. The larger Caboose suites afford guests extra space. There is also an outdoor swimming pool and playground area for guests to use during their stay. The property is close enough to the Grand Canyon that guests can see the canyon from various areas throughout the property.
