RV Parks near the Grand Canyon

Travelers searching for an RV Park to accommodate their trip to the Grand Canyon have a variety of choices. RV spaces and campgrounds are available directly in the national park, some of which offer hookups and some of which do not. In addition, RV Park accommodations are available within 1 hour of the national park, offering direct access by train into Grand Canyon Village.
  1. Trailer Village

    • Pets must remain on a leash at all times.

      Located directly inside Grand Canyon National Park, Trailer Village RV campground is open to the public year round. Full RV hookups are available. The dump station is located by Mather Campground (just adjacent to the RV Park) and is closed during the winter months. Trailer Village is operated by Xanterra Parks and Resorts, a well-known concessionaire and accommodations provider at several different national and state parks, including Yellowstone National Park and Mount Rushmore. Rigs up to 50 ft. in length are accommodated. Coin operated showers, picnic tables, optional Cable TV, laundry facilities, vending machines and telephones are provided. Pets are welcome but they must remain leashed at all times.

    Mather Campground

    • Picnic tables are provided at each site.

      Located in Grand Canyon Village, this campground accommodates smaller RVs up to 30 feet in length. No hookups are provided. Tent camping is permitted at each of the campground sites. Operated by the National Park Service, Mather Campground is open year round to travelers. A picnic table and campsite grill is provided at each site; campers are not permitted to gather wood from the surrounding region (wood is on sale at the nearby general store). Leashed pets are permitted. Paid laundry and shower facilities are available. Leveling equipment for RVs is recommended, as the terrain in rocky and uneven. Advance reservations are recommended from March 1 to Mid-November. From Mid-November to February 28, no reservations are available and guests are expected to use a self-pay machine at the campground office to secure their sites.

    Grand Canyon Railway RV Park

    • Take a train ride to the Grand Canyon.

      Located about an hour (approx. 55 miles) outside of Grand Canyon Village, this RV Park is located just 2 blocks from the local train station, where you can take a historic train ride directly into the Grand Canyon and save yourself a winding drive into the National Park. 3 different types of RV sites are available at Railway RV Park: Back-ins, Buddy spaces or pull-thrus. Big rigs are welcome. Each space has free wireless internet, cable TV and a paved surface. On-site amenities include clean showers, laundry facilities, 3 community grills and a community fire pit. Guests also enjoy access to on-site basketball, volleyball and horseshoes courts. The hotel next door--Grand Canyon Railway Hotel--allows RV campers access to the hotel's indoor swimming pool and hot tub.
