RV Parks Near Grand Tetons National Park

Grand Teton National Park, located in northwestern Wyoming a short distance south of Yellowstone National Park, is home to some of America's most widely photographed mountains, including nine peaks that are more than 12,000 feet high. RVers who visit the region will find one RV campground within the borders of the park itself and others that are only a short drive away.

  1. Colter Bay Village RV Park

    • Operated by Grand Teton Lodge Company, the principal concessionaire within the national park, this campground provides full hookups at all 112 of its pull-through RV sites; other sites in the campground are reserved for tenters. Only a short walk from the shores of Jackson Lake, the park's shady sites are furnished with picnic tables for RVers. Features include a full-service camp store, restrooms, showers and boat rentals. The park is open from mid-May through the end of September and prohibits stays of more than 14 days.

    Flagg Ranch Resort

    • Open from late May through late September, this campground is located off the John D. Rockefeller Jr. Parkway that links Grand Teton and Yellowstone national parks. Full hookups are available at 97 of the 171 campsites; the remaining 74 sites have no hookups. All sites with full hookups are pull-throughs, able to accommodate larger rigs. The wooded campground near the Snake River is part of a larger resort complex that features a restaurant, a western pub, gas station and grocery store.

    Grand Teton Park RV Resort

    • Just outside the boundaries of the national park on Highways 26 and 287, this 179-site RV park provides full hookups at 155 of its sites, water and electric only at another 14 and no hookups at the remaining 10 sites. The park's location makes it a convenient base for visits to both Grand Teton and Yellowstone. Open year-round, amenities include a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, hot tub, recreation room, wireless Internet access, video arcade, convenience store and laundry facilities.

    Virginian RV Resort

    • Part of a resort that includes a 170-room hotel, convention facilities, restaurant and saloon, this 105-site RV park offers full hookups at all of its sites, 64 of which are pull-throughs. Located in the town of Jackson, the resort is only a short drive from the southern entrance to Grand Teton National Park. Other resort amenities include restrooms, showers, a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, hot tub and cable TV. Free wireless Internet access is available in the resort's lobby area.
