Terlingua Ranch Lodge is only ten miles west of Big Bend National Park, and offers 12 ground-level RV spots for $20 per night and 8 RV sites at the base of Whitehouse Mountain for $24 per night as of July 2010. Terlingua Ranch Lodge provides access to electrical outlets at each spot with three amperage levels. Amenities include a bath house, dump station and pool. The Bad Rabbit Cafe serves free coffee each morning, and features breakfast, lunch and dinner menus.

BJ’s RV Park features 17 RV spaces within five miles of the park entrance. Each space is equipped with a 30-amp and 50-amp outlet for trailers and RVs, as well as water and sewer hookups. Rates are $22 per day or $300 per monthly, with a $15 monthly fee for use of laundry facilities as of July 2010. The recreation hall at the center of the park contains a lounge, showers and vending machines. Long-term visitors gain more space by reserving the park’s three-bedroom mobile home.

Lajitas Golf Resort & Spa operates the Maverick Ranch RV Park, located only 25 miles west of Big Bend National Park. The 101 RV spaces have 30- and 50-amp outlets. Travelers looking for more secluded areas can reserve one of 18 Primitive Wilderness Campsites. The Community Center has showers, a swimming pool and wireless Internet. Visitors can buy food and supplies at the general store. The Thirsty Goat Saloon within the park serves cold drinks and snacks in a Wild West setting.
