Pigeon Lake Hotels

Pigeon Lake is a recreational resort area in Alberta, Canada. The lake spans two counties, covering an area of 37 square miles. The area offers fishing, golfing, spas, shopping, beaches, nightlife and campgrounds. The Cree tribe named it "Hmi-hmoo," or woodpecker, and it was known as Woodpecker Lake until 1858. It is the most popular recreational area in Alberta.

    • A Cozy Hideaway B&B is a home in the country on a private lake, near Pigeon Lake. Two lakeside view rooms are available, both with private bath, satellite TV, DVD player, stereo, sitting room and private entrance. One has a single and a double bed, the other features a queen-sized bed with doors to the deck area. The B&B features a pool table, computer with Internet connection, private deck area, library and beach lounge area. Home cooked breakfast and complimentary snack bar are included. You must book two weeks in advance.

    • Cabins 4 Rent is located in lovely, peaceful Mulhurst Bay, Pigeon Lake. There are four pet-friendly "cabins" that sleep eight to nine people, which are really self-contained houses. Cabins are two or three bedrooms, one bath, with fully equipped kitchens, decks, TVs and DVD players. Two of the cabins feature fireplaces, one cabin has a wood stove and two are smoke-free. There are five golf courses within a 15-mile radius. The lake is a few blocks away with world-class fishing, a public beach, grocery store, pizza delivery, restaurants, video rentals and hiking trails.
