Farmer Township, located in Defiance County, Ohio, is a small community of less than 1,000 people. Although there are no resorts in Farmer, several nearby communities have resort and other lodging options. Other entertainment options at the resort include dancing each Saturday and dining room open Friday and Saturday evenings. The Cold Springs Resort originally was purchased in 1870 by Simpson Watkins, and has stayed in the Watkins family for five generations.
