Beaver Lake Resorts in Arkansas

Beaver Lake is a 31,700-acre man-made lake in Northwest Arkansas, and offers abundant recreational opportunities in the setting of the Ozark Mountains. Vacationers can find various accommodations surrounding the lake, which include guest rooms and cabins that offer picturesque waterfront views. Most of Beaver Lake's resorts also have on-site fishing piers, private beaches and boat docks.
  1. Rocky Branch Resort

    • Rocky Branch is on the southern coast of Beaver Lake, and provides an outdoor swimming pool with sundeck, fishing pier and playground area. The main lodge has 14 guest rooms with patios and living rooms, and 12 of the rooms have kitchens. The resort also has secluded eight guest accommodations, which include five lodges and three mobile home units, with three to five bedrooms. The Treehouse, Captain's Quarters and Cabin units are surrounded by woodlands, while the Lodge and Lakehouse offer waterfront views. An RV campsite is also available with water and electric hook-ups. Boat docks are available on the shores of Rocky Branch State Park, less than five minutes from the resort.

    Pointe West Resort and Suites

    • Situated at the northern point of Beaver Lake, Pointe West Resort provides views of Beaver Lake from its outdoor courtyard, which has picnic tables and barbecue grills. Accommodations at the resort include three-bedroom units and Jacuzzi suites. These two types of units have fully furnished kitchens, private balconies overlooking Beaver Lake and living rooms. Resort guests can take advantage of kayaking and sailing activities from the boat dock at Beaver Dam, which is five minutes from the resort. This point is also a popular starting point for scuba diving. Another popular off-site attraction is the Belle of the Ozarks tour, an hour-long boat ride that passes by the White House Bluffs and Bald Mountain. This tour is only available during the summer.

    Sugar Ridge Resort

    • Sugar Ridge is on the northern shore of Beaver Lake, and is adjacent to the 1,700-acre Damsite Park. The resort's close proximity to the park offers guests instant access to hiking trails and boating opportunities. Sugar Ridge is a popular destination for couples, due to the resort's Jacuzzi suites that offer scenic views of the lake. In-room massages are available upon request. If couples want a private getaway, the resort provides secluded cabins surrounded by woodlands. Families who come to Sugar Ridge can stay in the two-story log cabins, which feature fully furnished kitchens, three bedrooms and a spacious living rooms with fireplaces. These cabins rest on a bluff that offers sunset views of the lake.

    Whitney Mountain Lodge

    • Whitney Mountain Lodge is on the side of the Ozarks' Whitney Mountain, over 700 feet above Beaver Lake, with scenic views from every room. Each guest room has modern furniture, and includes a sitting area and kitchen. The resort also provides indoor facilities for wedding receptions and banquets for up to 300 people. Wedding ceremonies and receptions can also take place on the resort's outdoor patio. A possible day trip from the resort is Pea Ridge National Military Park. This 4,300-acre recreation area was the site of a Civil War battle in 1862, and visitors have access to the park's seven-mile hiking trail and the Pea Ridge Visitor Center.
