Clanton, Alabama is a small town located halfway between Montgomery and Birmingham on the I-65. It's Alabama's largest producer of peaches (celebrated by a gigantic water tower built in the shape of giant peach) and is thus a good destination for agricultural tourism.     • The Dandy RV park, a KOA campground, is located on the outskirts of Clanton on Dandy Lane off city road 28. The park has enough space for 50 RVs and is open year-round.     Peach Queen Campground

    • The Peach Queen Campground is located off the I-65 to the north of Clanton at exit 219. It contains 54 sites for RVs and 18 sites for tents. The facility also provides WiFi and laundry services and has a small grocery. The campground has a swimming pool and other activities include catfish lake fishing, volleyball and boating (no motors).

    • Paradise Point at Lay Lake is around 20 miles away from Clanton.
