Philabaun's Hidden Cove Resort is located 20 minutes north of Alliance in Deerfield, Ohio. The resort is located on the banks of Berlin Lake, which features 70 miles of shoreline. Lake activities include fishing, boating and riding personal watercraft. The resort is named for the cove located on the resort grounds, providing a safe harbor for both mooring and launching. Campsites available at the establishment range from primitive tent sites to those equipped with water and electricity. Each site is equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. The resort is equipped to handle large company outings, family reunions and club outings.
Clay's Park Resort is located 30 minutes west of Alliance in Canal Fulton. The 500-acre resort has been in continuous operation since 1945 and is home to two lakes -- one for boating and fishing, and one for swimming. Cabins at the establishment are available from Memorial Day weekend until Labor Day each year and are equipped to sleep between two and six guests. Cabin accommodation fees include free use of the resort's on-site water park, water slides, kayaks, sailboats and miniature golf course. The resort also hosts a rotating schedule of live music events every spring and summer. The resort is also home to an 8,000-square-foot skateboarding and bicycling park.
The Lock 30 Woodlands resort is located in Libson, 30 minutes east of Alliance. The campground section of the resort was built so that no campsites are in front or behind each other. Each also features shade and a grass or gravel driveway. Activities at the resort include a tournament-grade bocce court and Olympic-size swimming pool. Lock 30 also hosts several condominium-style cab rentals that are equipped with full kitchens, shaded decks and air conditioning. Cabins are available poolside or in private wooded seclusion. The facility is equipped for large events and long-term stays.
