Also on South Frontage Rd., the BLM Campground is located on the Colorado River. This campground does not take reservations; it operates on a first come, first served basis. Several other lodging options are nearby. About 8 miles from Gypsum, in the town of Eagle, you can enjoy the AmericInn Hotel and the Silver Leaf Inn & Suites. The towns of Avon, located about 25 minutes from Gypsum, and Vail, which is located about 45 minutes away, also provides several other hotels and resorts with year-round activities to enjoy.
