Parker is a town located on banks of the Colorado River on the western border of Arizona. The 16-mile stretch of the Colorado River south of Lake Havasu is known as the Parker Strip. The Parker Strip is a popular destination for boating, tubing, water skiing, fishing, swimming, golfing and hiking. The town of Parker boasts the annual Parker Bluegrass Festival on the River and is the winter home to many snowbirds. When traveling to Parker there are a number of resorts located along the Colorado River from which to choose.
Blue Water Resort and Casino includes 200 rooms with a view of the Colorado River and 164-slip boat marina. The resort features numerous onsite eateries including a restaurant, snack bar, baker, lounge and indoor/outdoor cantina along the river. The Sandbar Resort is located on 8.9 acres along the Colorado River. It offers 95 campsites, 40 of which are along the waterfront. RV and tent sites are equipped with electricity, water, sewer and cable and are telephone ready. It features shower and laundry facilities, an onsite bar and café and boat ramp for direct access to the Colorado River. Trailers are also available for rent.
