Love Cabins in Oklahoma

Oklahoma offers one of the United States' most diverse terrains. From swamps to mountain ranges to forests and blue lakes, this state presents a variety of scenery as well as opportunities for romantic getaways. With 24 percent of the state covered by forests, a secluded cabin is not a hard find. With one million surface-acres of water, relaxing accommodation on the water is plentiful, as well.
  1. Lake Mountain Cabins

    • Lake Mountain Cabins has a variety of options including the Fisherman's Cabin -- a one bedroom getaway steps away from the river. The screened-in porch provides a relaxing spot during a rain storm while the private deck allows for basking in the sun. Enjoy the area by renting a power, pontoon or house boat; or jet skis and a canoe; on Broken Bow Lake. Or, hike the nature trails at Beavers Bend State Park, or broaden your mind at the Forest Heritage Center or the Nature Center Museum. Eat dinner just outside the park at The Oaks Steakhouse or grill privately back at your cabin.

    Rivers Edge Cottages

    • The Rivers Edge Cottages offers five different cabin rentals all meant for a romantic getaway. One of these one bedroom cabins is Whispering Heights which sits just above Mountain Fork River and provides a view of the Ouachita Mountains. The cabin houses a king-sized bed, a Jacuzzi and a wood-burning stove for cold winter nights. In warmer weather enjoy a private picnic along the shoreline or benefit from the stocked pond and take advantage of the area's serenity. Wildlife can be spotted all year-round with the bald eagle making its home here during the winter as well as turkeys, deer and beavers.

    Cedar Falls Cabins

    • Just outside Turner Falls Park, the Cedar Falls Cabins host quaint, one-room cabins each with a full kitchen and eating utensils as well a charcoal grill for your dinner needs. Spend an afternoon at the park to see the largest waterfall in Oklahoma as well as caves and two natural swimming pools or stay around and sit on the private front porch that looks over Honey Creek. Sulphur Hill Golf Course is only a few miles down the road and the Treasure Valley Casino offers a rainy day alternative. Rent an ATV nearby and enjoy the 6,500 acres of Cross Bar Ranch on top of the Arbuckle Mountains.
