    • The Finger Lakes are a chain of long slender lakes in west-central New York state. The region is known for its wine production; more than 100 wineries make their home in the area. Other features of the area include waterfalls and park land. Cabins can be rented on Seneca, Conesus, Canandaigua, Honeoye, Keuka, and Cayuga lakes.

    • Many cabins in the area are located on large amounts of land that afford a quiet retreat. Mill Creek Cabins are located on 42 acres of land, and the cabins at Cobtree Vacation Rental Homes Resort are surrounded by nearly 60 acres of woodland and farmland. Amenities at many of the cabins include private bathrooms, fireplaces and Internet access.     • Cabin rentals can often be reserved on either a nightly or weekly basis. Rates vary from around $125 per night to $400 per night, as of 2010. Some properties' rates vary by season, with more expensive rates in the summer months.
