Can Owners Rent Out Condos at Canyon Ranch in Miami?

Florida condo owners should be aware of the requirements when considering renting out their units. Restrictions abound in rules drafted by associations and boards. At the Canyon Ranch complex in Miami Beach, rules about renting are easily understood.
  1. The Various Residences at Canyon Ranch

    • Canyon Ranch in Miami Beach, built to incorporate the 1950s-era Carillon Hotel, features the Canyon Ranch Condo-Hotel and the Canyon Ranch Living Condominiums. The latter include Carillon Tower, the North Tower and the South Tower. Each building has particular requirements regarding the renting out of their units by owners.

    Condo-Hotel Residences

    • The units located in the Canyon Ranch Condo-Hotel may be rented only through the Hotel Rental Management Program. Owners would need to register their units with this rental program.

    Carillon Tower Condo Residences

    • The Carillon Tower units may be rented out on a six-month basis, or a maximum of two rentals per year. However, floors 11 through 16 in this tower may be considered for the Hotel Rental Management Program so long as the Canyon Ranch furniture package is purchased.

Residences in the North and South Condo Towers

    • Owners with units in the North and South Condo Towers may rent out their units for a six-month minimum, that is twice per year. These units may not be rented as hotel rooms and are, therefore, not eligible for inclusion in the Canyon Ranch Hotel Rental Management Program.
