Destin RV Beach Resort is in Destin, approximately 19 miles from Valparaiso--around 30 minutes by automobile. The campground consists of 36 paved campsites with full patios. All of the spaces are back-ins and measure around 24 by 55 feet in size. Full electric, water and sewage hookups are available at each site as well as connections for cable television with more than 45 channels. Free wireless Internet is accessible throughout the park. On-site amenities include restrooms, showers, a laundry facility and a heated swimming pool. The campground is also within walking distance to a public beach. Pets are welcome. Operated by the Florida Park Service, Fred Gannon Rocky Bayou State Park is in Niceville, less than seven miles from Valparaiso--about 10 minutes by automobile. The public campground consists of four paved, two gravel and 36 dirt recreational vehicle campsites, for a total of 42 spaces. All of the sites are back-ins and can accommodate vehicles up to 40 feet in length. For campers convenience, the park offers showers, restrooms, a sewage waste dump, public telephones and a laundry facility. Rocky Bayou Lake is on the property for fishing, and the park has a ramp for boating. A playground is located at the campground as well as hiking and nature trails. Pets are welcome in the RV park areas. Fred Gannon Rocky Bayou State Park is open all year.

Camping on the Gulf RV park is also in Destin, around 20 miles from Valaparaiso--about 29 minutes by automobile. The campground features 70 paved, 45 gravel and 98 grass campsites for a total of 213 total available spaces at the park. Many of the sites have shade, and some are beachfront spaces. Twenty-four of the lots are pull-throughs, and the maximum length camper for any of the sites is 55 feet. All but two campsites have full electric, water and sewage hookups with the remaining lots providing only electricity and water. Around 100 of the spaces have telephone service and wired Internet access. Cable television connections are available at every site, and wireless Internet is accessible throughout the park. The campground has restrooms, showers, a sewage waste dump and laundry facilities. An on-site store sells firewood, propane and RV supplies. Guests can swim in the Gulf of Mexico or the campground's heated swimming pool. Other recreational facilities and activities include a hot tub, playground, shuffleboard court, fitness center and indoor game-room. Pets are welcome. Camping on the Gulf remains open all year.
